Secondary School Certificate or S.Sc. or Madhyamik School Certificate is a public examination applicable to the tenth class students of Bangladesh. The equivalency certificate awarded to madrasa students is called Dakhil Exam. Those who pass this examination are awarded the Secondary School Certificate and are given admission to Class XI. This exam is also known as Madhyamik exam.
Test administration
The Secondary School Certificate Examination is held simultaneously under nine education boards across the country in Bangladesh. Candidates are required to collect their admit card from the head of their institution at least three days before the commencement of the examination. Examinations are conducted at the designated examination centers as per the pre-announced schedule and schedule. Separate answer sheets are to be used for creative and multiple choice tests. Candidates have to fill the circle in their respective answer sheet OMR form by properly writing his/her examination roll number, registration number, subject code etc. Since OMR forms are verified with OMR machines, folding of answer sheets is prohibited. The candidate must sign the signature sheet for each subject as this will confirm whether the candidate has appeared in the examination. Every candidate can appear in the examination of the subject or subjects mentioned in the registration form only.
Under no circumstances can one appear in the examination in a different subject, or it will be considered cancelled. Candidates can use simple scientific calculators required for physics, mathematics or other similar subjects. To prevent cheating in the exam, no one except the secretary of the exam center is allowed to use mobile phone in the exam center. There is an opportunity to apply for re-verification through SMS within 10 days of publication of the exam result.
